Dobev is a municipality in PÃÂsek District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,200 inhabitants.
Dobev consists of five municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):
The municipal office is located in Stará Dobev.
Dobev is located about west of PÃÂsek and northwest of ÃÂeské BudÃÂjovice. The western part of the municipal territory lies in the ÃÂeské BudÃÂjovice Basin, the eastern part lies in the Tábor Uplands. The highest point is the hill Velký Kamýk at above sea level. The municipality contains several fishponds, the largest of which is Dobevský rybnÃÂk.
The first written mention of Dobev is from 1318.
Dobev is situated on a second-class road from PÃÂsek to Strakonice. The D4 motorway passes through the northwestern part of the municipal territory.
The main landmark of Dobev is the Church of Saint Brice from the late 14th century. The originally Gothic church was rebuilt in 1881.
