Dimitrie Cantemir (formerly SiliÃÂteni) is a commune in Vaslui County, Western Moldavia, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Grumezoaia, GuÃÂiÃÂei, Hurdugi (the commune centre), PlotoneÃÂti and UrlaÃÂi.
The commune was named for Prince Dimitrie Cantemir, who was born there.
