Derna () is a commune in northwestern Bihor County, CriÃÂana, Romania, 50 km from the county seat, Oradea and 35 km from Marghita. It borders the communes of PopeÃÂti, ChiÃÂlaz, Brusturi and SpinuÃÂ. It is composed of five villages: Derna, DerniÃÂoara (Alsóderna), SacalasÃÂu (Sástelek), SacalasÃÂu Nou (ÃÂjsástelek) and Tria (Terje).
At the 2011 census, 72.5% of inhabitants were Romanians, 19.4% Slovaks, 6.8% Hungarians and 1.1% Roma.
