Deinococcus indicus is a species of arsenic-resistant bacterium. It is Gram-negative, rod-shaped, non-motile, non-sporulating and red-pigmented, with type strain Wt/1a<sup>T</sup> (=MTCC 4913<sup>T</sup> =DSM 15307<sup>T</sup>).
