Dechloromonas denitrificans is a gram negative, N<sub>2</sub>O-producing motile bacterium with a polar flagellum from the genus Dechloromonas which was isolated from the earthworm Aporrectodea caliginosa. Colonies of Dechloromonas denitrificans are yellowish colored.
