Daylight Saving (play)

Daylight Saving is a comedy by Nick Enright about a married couple living in north Sydney. It was one of Enright's most popular works.

Enight called it "a romantic comedy. It's featherweight. And one has all those fears that people will find it trivial. I don't think it's exactly on the ramparts of an experiment; but I'm not going to apologise for that."

The play went through six drafts and a workshopped reading at the Sydney Theatre Company.

The Sydney Sunday Herald called it "swift and diverting entertainment." The Sydney Morning Herald called it "the funniest and wittiest show in towm."

Premise

Tom, who manages a tennis player, Jason Strutt, is married to Felicity, a restauranteur. An ex boyfriend of Felicity's, Jason, arrives in town. Matters are complicated by Felicity's mother, Bunty, and neighbour, Stephanie.
