Daniyar Ismayilov (; born 3 February 1992) is a Turkmen-born weightlifter who represented Turkmenistan early in his career and later competed for Turkey. He won the silver medal in the men's 69 kg event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, the bronze medal at the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships, and back-to-back European titles in 2015 and 2016.
ðsmayilov began his international career representing Turkmenistan. He competed for Turkmenistan in the men's 69 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
He later switched allegiance to Turkey and made his international debut for his new country at the 2015 European Weightlifting Championships. Competing in the men's 69 kg division, he won the title with a total of 337 kg. Later that year, he won the bronze medal at the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships.
At the 2016 European Weightlifting Championships in Førde, he successfully defended his title in the 69 kg class with a total of 333 kg. A few months later, he won the silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, lifting 163 kg in the snatch and 188 kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 351 kg. It was Turkey's first medal of the Rio Games.
In 2017, ðsmayilov won the men's 69 kg title at the Islamic Solidarity Games. In 2018, at the Mediterranean Games, he won gold medals in the snatch and clean and jerk in the same weight category.
At the 2019 European Weightlifting Championships, now competing at 67 kg, he won the snatch gold medal but did not register a total after failing in the clean and jerk. Later that year, at the 2019 World Weightlifting Championships, he won the silver medal in the snatch with 150 kg.
At the 2021 European Weightlifting Championships in Moscow, ðsmayilov originally won the men's 73 kg event with a total of 341 kg and set a European snatch record of 160 kg. In July 2021, however, the Turkish federation said that he had failed a doping test, and he was provisionally suspended.
