Daniel Wansi (22 February 1982 â 1 August 2024) was a Cameroonian professional footballer who played as a striker.
When Wansi was nineteen and playing in Cameroon's Cintra Yaoundé, he won the 2001 "Crack dâÂÂOr", best Cameroon's footballer of the year.
He played for Croatian First League club Inker Zapreà ¡iàin autumn 2003.
He trialled at Xiamen Lanshi in February 2006. He then played for Shenzhen Kingway.
In December 2007 he moved to Montenegrin First League club FK BuduÃÂnost Podgorica.
Wansi was part of the Cameroon U23 national team that won the 2003 All-Africa Games.
Wansi died in Yaoundé on 1 August 2024, at the age of 42.
