Dan A. Polier

Dan A. Polier (9 August 1918 – February 1997) was an American film executive. For many years he was a key executive at National General Pictures.

Biography

Polier was born in Atlanda and attended Georgia Military Academy and the uUniversity of Illinois. During World War Two he served U.S. Army Air Corps and worked as a journalist. Following the war he went to work for booking department for Fox Theaters, which then became National General Corporation – Polier stayed with the company until 1971. He was head of production in the late 1960s, supervising such productions as The Baby Maker.

Polier joined Radnitz/Mattel Productions in 1972. In 1979, he became president of Knotf/Polier, a marketing distribution consulting firm.
