Cucerdea (, <small>Hungarian pronunciation</small>: ) is a commune in MureàCounty, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Bord (Bord), Cucerdea, and ÃÂeulia de Mureà(Oláhsályi).
The commune is located in the southwestern part of the county, in the center of the Transylvanian Plateau, between the rivers Mureàand Târnava MicÃÂ.
Cucerdea is situated north of TârnÃÂveni and south of Iernut, at a distance of from the county seat, Târgu MureÃÂ.
According to the 2011 census, the commune has a population of 1,525, of which 97.18% were ethnic Romanians. At the 2021 census, Cucerdea has 1,293 inhabitants; 93.58% of them were Romanians.
