Clara Coline Mona Mateo (born 28 November 1997) is a French professional footballer who plays as a forward or attacking midfielder for Première Ligue club Paris FC, which she captains, and the France national team.
In 2022, she joined ESOF Vendée La Roche-sur-Yon, that was playing in the second division at the time. She made her debut in the 2015âÂÂ16 season, his only season with the club, where he scored two goals.
Mateo arrived at Paris FC in 2016 on a three-year contract.
During the 2020âÂÂ21 season, Mateo began to stand out, scoring 13 goals in the top flight this season, and the following season she helped Paris FC finish third in the league, qualifying for the Women's Champions League, scoring 11 goals and providing 7 assists. Mateo continued her great form in the following seasons, but in the 2024âÂÂ25 season, she had her best record, finishing as the league's top scorer and best player with 18 goals and 7 assists.
Mateo was part of the French squad which won the 2016 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship. She was also named in the team of the tournament.
Mateo made her senior team debut on 27 November 2020 in a 3âÂÂ0 win against Austria. She scored her first goal four days later in a 12âÂÂ0 win against Kazakhstan. In June 2025, she was named in the French squad for the UEFA Women's Euro 2025.
