Mahogany started 11 games and was named second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) as a redshirt sophomore. Mahogany missed his redshirt junior season after he suffered a torn ACL while playing basketball during the offseason.

Mahogany was activated on December 20, ahead of the team's Week 16 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
