Chirnogi is a commune in CÃÂlÃÂraÃÂi County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of a single village, Chirnogi.
The commune is situated in the south of the Wallachian Plain, at an altitude of , on the left bank of the Danube, where the ArgeÃÂ River discharges into it. Chirnogi is located towards the southwestern extremity of CÃÂlÃÂraÃÂi County, west of OlteniÃÂa. It is crossed by national road , which connects OlteniÃÂa to Giurgiu.
At the 2021 census, Chirnogi had a population of 6,629; of those, 70.07% were Romanians and 20.14% Roma.
