The Valencia Lake armored catfish (Chaetostoma pearsei ) also or known white spot bulldog pleco and white spot rubbernose is a species of catfish in the family Loricariidae. It is native to South America, where it occurs in the basins of the Tuy River and Lake Valencia in Venezuela.
The species reaches 15 cm (5.9 inches) in total length.
The fish is named in honor of American zoologist Arthur Sperry Pearse (1877âÂÂ1956), of the University of Wisconsin, who collected the holotype specimen.
