Campbell Memorial High School is a public high school in Campbell, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Campbell City School District. Athletic teams are known as the Red Devils and compete as a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference.
Campbell Memorial High School developed as part of the early 20th-century growth of Campbell, a community shaped by the expansion of the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company. The establishment of the steel mill in 1902 led to a rapid influx of immigrant workers and the creation of a densely populated industrial town, driving the need for a centralized public school system.
Following World War I, the city expanded its educational infrastructure with the construction of a dedicated high school. Memorial High School opened in 1925, and the name âÂÂMemorialâ was chosen in honor of soldiers, reflecting common postwar naming practices.
