Camino Tassajara first appeared as a census designated place in the 2010 U.S. census. It contains no area from the Blackhawk-Camino Tassajara CDP (since renamed Blackhawk CDP).

The racial makeup of Camino Tassajara was 29.5% White, 2.1% African American, 0.2% Native American, 57.6% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 2.1% from other races, and 8.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.7% of the population.
