Cagnano Amiterno is a town and (municipality) in the Province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo region of centralâÂÂsouthern Italy. It is located in the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park.
Cagnano was the seat of the former Latin Catholic bishopric of Amiterno. The toponym of Sala, one of the (boroughs) in the , may suggest the area was a Lombard settlement.
