Buôn ÃÂôn is a rural district of ÃÂắk Lắk province in the Central Highlands region of Vietnam. As of 2003, the district had a population of 56,238. The district covers an area of 1,414 kmò. The district capital lies at Ea Wer.
Its original name is BÃÂn Dón (Buôn Dôn in Rhade language) from Laotian language, what means "the village of the isle". It is related with a small stone bund on Srepok River, where Laotian people have lived since XIX century.
