Buar (Serbian Cyrillic: ÃÂÃÂðÃÂ) is a village located in the Uà ¾ice municipality of Serbia. In the 2022 census, the village had a population of 1,076.
The region around Buar has traces of Neolithic settlement. The village itself was settled in the late 18th and early 19th centuries by Serbs from the villages of Zlatibor, as well as from Kolaà ¡in, Grahovo, and Rutoà ¡i. It grew from 45 homes in 1818 to 62 in 1921. Electricity was brought to the village in 1951.
Buar is located on the Jelova gora mountain's southern slopes, west of Uà ¾ice, and along the Koà ¡tice River (Koà ¡tiÃÂka reka) Volujci Stream (VolujaÃÂki potok). It is considered a suburban settlement of Uà ¾ice, and a dispersed village.
