Bù Gia MáºÂp is a rural district (huyá»Ân) of Bình Phðá»Âc province in the Southeast region of Vietnam. It was established on 11 August 2009 on the land of Phðá»Âc Long district remaining after the establishment of Phðá»Âc Long town. At that time, it had a population of 147,967.
Bù Gia MáºÂp district is subdivided to 10 rural communes: Bình Thắng, Bù Gia MáºÂp, ÃÂa Kia, ÃÂak à, ÃÂức Hạnh, Phú Nghéa, Phú VÃÂn, Phðá»Âc Minh. The district capital lies at Phú Nghéa commune.
The Thác Má Hydroelectric Power Plant is located in ÃÂức Hạnh commune.
Due resistance to malaria drugs has grown in the last decade, officials in Bù Gia MáºÂp District now see little hope of eliminating malaria in that district.
