Brianna Turner (born July 5, 1996) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Perth Lynx of the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL). She played college basketball for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and has competed for the United States women's national basketball team.
Turner is a native of Pearland, Texas. After spending her freshman season at Westbury Christian School in Houston, she graduated from Manvel High School in Manvel, Texas.
Turner played college basketball at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana for the Fighting Irish. Turner led Notre Dame to the 2017 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament as a #1 seed after a 30âÂÂ3 regular season record. During a game against Purdue in the second round of the tournament, Turner ruptured her ACL and was done for the season. She later announced that she would miss the 2017âÂÂ18 season because of the same injury. She returned for her final season of eligibility in 2018âÂÂ19 after receiving a hardship waiver from the NCAA.
At the 2019 WNBA draft, Turner was selected in the first round by the Atlanta Dream and was then quickly traded to the Phoenix Mercury. In the 2019 WNBA season, she was named to the All-Rookie Team. She was named to the WNBA All-Defensive First Team in back-to-back seasons (2020âÂÂ21), averaging 1.6 blocks and 0.9 steals across her second and third seasons in the league.
On February 6, 2024, Turner was acquired by the Chicago Sky in a trade with the Mercury.
On February 17, 2025, Turner signed with the Indiana Fever for the 2025 WNBA season.
Turner joined the Adelaide Lightning of the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) in Australia for the 2019âÂÂ20 season.
For the 2020âÂÂ21 season, Turner joined Russian team Nika Syktyvkar. For the 2021âÂÂ22 season, she joined Italy team Virtus Bologna. She began the 2022âÂÂ23 season in Turkey with ÃÂankaya ÃÂniversitesi S.K., but she left in November 2022 after seven games.
For the 2023âÂÂ24 WNBL season, Turner returned to the Adelaide Lightning. She played a third season with the Lightning in 2024âÂÂ25.
On October 14, 2025, Turner signed with the Perth Lynx on a short-term contract to start the 2025âÂÂ26 WNBL season, playing in the first eight games.
Turner is set to join Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball for its fifth season starting in February 2026.
Turner has competed for the United States women's national basketball team at the 2012 FIBA Under-17 World Championship, 2013 FIBA Under-19 World Championship and 2014 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship.
