Robert Barrett Boyd (March 7, 1928 â May 14, 2009) was an American professional football player who was an end and defensive back for eight seasons with the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). His most spectacular season was in 1954, when he caught 53 passes for 1,212 yards and 6 touchdowns.
While at Loyola Marymount University, Boyd won the 100-yard dash at the 1950 NCAA Championships.
