Bhatter College Dantan, also known simply as Dantan College, is an autonomous undergraduate, coeducational college situated in Dantan, Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. It was established in 1963. The college was under Vidyasagar University, until January 2024.
The college offers different undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the science, arts, and commerce branch. This college aims at imparting education to the undergraduates of lower- and middle-class people of Dantan, and its adjoining areas.
The science faculty consists of the departments of Chemistry,Santali, Physics, and Mathematics.
The arts and commerce faculty consists of the departments of Bengali, English, Sanskrit, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Education, Geography, and Commerce (Accounting and Finance).
Recently, Bhatter College has been awarded "A" grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
