Betania (pronounced: Bai-TAHN-ee-uh) is a town and municipality in the Colombian department of Antioquia. It is part of the subregion of Southwestern Antioquia, with a population of 9,286 people, according to the 2015 census. It is located 33 mi/53 km SW of MedellÃÂn. The main industries include coffee, sugarcane, cacao, and livestock.
Betania has a tropical rainforest climate (Af) with heavy to very heavy rainfall year-round.
