MÃÂriÃÂelu (; ) is a commune in BistriÃÂa-NÃÂsÃÂud County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of seven villages: Bârla (Berlád), DomneÃÂti (Bilak), Jeica (Zselyk), MÃÂgurele (Serling), MÃÂriÃÂelu, NeÃÂeni (Nec), and Sântioana (Sajószentiván).
The commune is situated on the Transylvanian Plateau, in the Nösnerland, a historic region of northeastern Transylvania. It is located in the southern part of BistriÃÂa-NÃÂsÃÂud County, from the county seat, BistriÃÂa, and is crossed by county road DJ154.
The route of the Via Transilvanica long-distance trail passes through the villages of MÃÂriÃÂelu and MÃÂgurele.
