Ben Hartwell Winkelman (February 28, 1899 â December 18, 1981) was an American football player and coach. He played three seasons with the Milwaukee Badgers of the National Football League (NFL). Winkelman served as the head football coach at San Jose State University from 1940 to 1941, compiling a record of 16âÂÂ4âÂÂ3.
Winkelman was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas to father Charles Winkelman and mother Pearl O. Winkelman.
