Baume-les-Dames () is a commune in the Doubs department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France. The French mineralogist and chemist Jacques-Joseph ÃÂbelmen (1814âÂÂ1852), the writer and poet Charles-ÃÂmilien Thuriet (1832âÂÂ1920) and the archaeologist Gustave Fougères (1863âÂÂ1927) were all born in Baume-les-Dames.
In 1973 the former commune of Champvans-lès-Baume was absorbed by Baume-les-Dames.
