Batizovce () is a village and municipality in the Poprad District in the Preà ¡ov Region of northern Slovakia. The village contains evangelical and Roman Catholic churches in classic and baroque styles.
In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1264. Locals had been engaged in agriculture, forestry, pottery, weaving and charcoal production. In 1934 they began to be employed in industrial facilities in Svit.
It has a population ofÃÂ people (31 December ).
