Basil III of Constantinople (; 1846 â 29 September 1929), born Vasileios Georgiadis (ÃÂñÃÂïûõùÿàÃÂõÃÂÃÂóùìô÷ÃÂ), was Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople being elected on 13 July 1925, and serving until his death in 1929.
He studied theology and philology at the University of Athens, and obtained a PhD at the University of Munich.
