Bạc Liêu () is a former provincial city and capital of the former Bạc Liêu Province in the Mekong Delta region in southern Vietnam. It is a medium-sized town with a population of 156,110 in 2019. The former name of the city is Vénh Lợi.
The name Bạc Liêu is based on the Chinese pronunciation of a Khmer name (Pol Leav áÂÂáÂÂáÂÂá¶á in Khmer). In the 1950s the area was a center of Huỳnh Phú Sá»Â's Hòa Hảo religion after Sá» was released there.
Bạc Liêu has a tropical savanna climate (Köppen Aw).
