Dr. Atulbaba Suresh Bhosale (born 28 March 1983) is a prominent Indian politician - healthcare administrator
and cooperative leader from Maharashtra. He is a member of the 15th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly
(MLA) representing the Karad South constituency and serves as the District President of the Bharatiya
Janata Party (BJP) for Satara. Bhosale is widely recognized for his extensive work in the banking - healthcare
and cooperative sectors in Western Maharashtra.
Dr. Atulbaba Bhosale was born into a family with a rich legacy in the cooperative movement. He is the
grandson of the late Sahakarmaharshi Jaywantrao Bhosale (Appa) - a pioneer of the cooperative movement
in Western Maharashtra. His father - Dr. Suresh Jaywantrao Bhosale - is a noted surgeon and the Chancellor
of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth.
Bhosale completed his primary and secondary education at Krishna English Medium School and Junior
College in Malkapur. He went on to pursue a medical degree (M.B.B.S.) from the Krishna Institute of Medical
Sciences (KIMS) in 2005. Driven by an interest in management and finance - he later earned an MBA in
Finance from the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom.
In 2014 - Dr. Atulbaba Bhosale married Gauravi Deshmukh - the daughter of Diliprao Deshmukh and niece of
the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra - Vilasrao Deshmukh. This union connected two influential political
families in Maharashtra.
Dr. Bhosale entered the cooperative sector at a young age and has been instrumental in modernizing local
financial institutions. He has served as the Chairman of Krishna Sahakari Bank for four consecutive terms -
winning the elections unopposed. His leadership has seen the bank expand its reach and financial stability.

Administrative Excellence in Pandharpur:
Dr. Bhosale served as the President of the Shri Vitthal Rukmini Mandir Samiti in Pandharpur. Due to his
exceptional administration - transparent management and infrastructure improvements for pilgrims - the
Government of Maharashtra granted this position the Minister of State (MoS) status. This recognition
highlighted his efficient leadership in managing one of the most significant religious and cultural centers in the
state.
After joining the Bharatiya Janata Party - he contested the assembly elections in 2014 and 2019. The 2019
assembly election was a remarkably close contest - where he demonstrated significant political growth and
established a formidable foundation for the party in the Karad South constituency.
In the 2024 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election - Bhosale achieved a landmark victory by defeating
the incumbent MLA and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra - Prithviraj Chavan. He won the seat by a
historic margin of 39,355 votes and was sworn in as a member of the 15th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly
on 23 November 2024.
In May 2025 - Bhosale was appointed the District President of Satara BJP. Under his strategic direction - the
party achieved a historic milestone in the 2026 Satara Zilla Parishad elections. In March 2026 - the BJP
successfully installed its candidates - Dr. Priya Shinde as President and Raju Bhosale as Vice-President -
marking the first time the BJP has independently controlled the Satara Zilla Parishad.
Beyond politics : Dr. Bhosale is deeply involved in philanthropic activities through the Krishna Hospital and
Medical Research Centre:
