Aspergillus falconensis is a species of fungus in the genus Aspergillus. It is from the Nidulantes section. The species was first described in 1989. It has been reported to produce 3,30-Dihydroxy-5,50-dimethyldiphenyl ether, falconensin A-N, falconenson A-B, hopane-6ñ,7ò,22-triol, hopane-7ò,22-diol, mitorubrin, monomethyldihydromitorubrin, monomethylmitorubrin, and zeorin.
A. falconensis has been cultivated on both Czapek yeast extract agar (CYA) plates and Malt Extract Agar Oxoidî (MEAOX) plates. The growth morphology of the colonies can be seen in the pictures below.
