Ashley Louise James (born 2 April 1987) is an English television presenter, DJ, model, author and social commentator. She first gained public recognition for her appearance on the E4 reality television series Made in Chelsea between 2012 and 2013. She has since built a career in broadcasting, appearing regularly as a contributor and correspondent on ITV's This Morning, while also working as a DJ and advocate for women's issues.
James was born on 2 April 1987 in Northumberland, in the North East of England. She developed an early interest in media and broadcasting, beginning work experience at BBC Radio Cumbria at the age of 16.
James rose to prominence in 2012 when she appeared on the E4 reality series Made in Chelsea. She featured across two series, initially introduced as a love interest of cast member Francis Boulle. In 2018, she participated in the twenty-first series of Celebrity Big Brother. She was the ninth housemate to be evicted in a triple eviction on Day 29.
James has worked across multiple television and radio platforms. Her credits include co-presenting Big Brother's Bit on the Side with Emma Willis, hosting the Hollyoaks spin-off Slice of Summer, and reporting backstage at The X Factor. She has also contributed to shows such as Good Morning Britain, Jeremy Vine, BBC News, and Sky News.
As of the mid-2020s, James is a regular political and social affairs correspondent on ITV's daytime programme This Morning, often discussing issues affecting women, families, and society. James has also pursued a career as a DJ, previously performing as part of the duo Bittersweet DJs (with Charlotte de Carle). James is als known for her advocacy on women's rights, female empowerment, equality, and social justice. In February 2026, she released her debut book Bimbo: Ditch the Labels. Find Your Voice. Reclaim Your Confidence., which became a No. 1 Sunday Times bestseller. James has also worked as a model and fashion blogger. She has been involved in charity work, including events supporting breast cancer awareness.
James has two children with her partner Tom Andrews.
