Apold () is a commune in MureàCounty, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of four villages: Apold, Daia (Denndorf; Dálya or Szászdálya), ÃÂaeà(Schaas; Segesd), and Vulcan (Wolkendorf; Volkány). The route of the Via Transilvanica long-distance trail passes through the village of Daia.
The commune is located in the southern part of the county, on the border with BraÃÂov and Sibiu counties. Its neighbors are as follows:

At the 2021 census, the commune had a population of 3,065; of those, 86.79% were Romanians, 5.51% Roma, 1.5% Hungarians, and 1.14% Germans.
