The Aobadai district borders Shinsenchà Â, Nanpeidaichà Â, Hachiyamachà Â, and Sarugakuchà  on the north across ; Kamimeguro on the south; and Higashiyama, à Âhashi, Komaba on the west and northwest across .
A hillside neighborhood in Aobadai 2-chà Âme is known as , literally meaning "Saigà  Mountain." It was named so because Saigà  Tsugumichi, a Meiji-period politician and a younger brother of Saigà  Takamori, owned a mansion there. The mansion was moved to the Meiji Mura museum in Inuyama, Aichi for preservation, and the site where Saigà Â's house existed is home to and .
