Amir Hamza (Mufti)

Mufti Amir Hamza () is a Bangladeshi Islamic preacher, da'i, and politician. He first came into public discussion for controversial statements made at waz mahfils (Islamic sermons). Allegations were raised against him for misinterpretation of Islam, spreading extremism, and promoting radical teachings. He was widely criticized across the country for repeatedly making controversial remarks in religious gatherings and later issued an apology. He was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Kushtia-3 constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election.
