Rahman or Rehman () is an Arabic and Hebrew origin surname meaning "Gracious", "King", "Merciful" or "Lord" based on the triconsonantal root R-Ḥ-M. With nisba (Arabic onomastic), the name becomes Rehmani, meaning "descendant of the gracious one".
