Reception
The All About Jazz review by Edward Blanco awarded the album 4ý stars and simply states: "The music can be described as traditional straight-ahead jazz packing quite a punch for a standard piano trio. There's little doubt about this one, it certainly is A Step Into Light as evidenced by the sound and magic produced by The MUH Trio, European jazz mastery at its best." The All About Jazz review by Jack Bowers awarded the album 4 stars and simply states: "A Step Into Light blends pleasing variety with solid rapport and astute solos. You can't ask for more than that from any trio."
