70th Locarno Film Festival

The 70th Locarno Film Festival was held from 2 to 12 August 2017 in Locarno, Switzerland. The festival's opening film was Tomorrow and Thereafter () directed by Noémie Lvovsky. The closing film was Gotthard – One Life, One Soul directed by Kevin Merz.

The Golden Leopard, the festival's top prize, was awarded to the documentary film Mrs. Fang directed by Wang Bing.
