The 5th U.S. Artillery, Battery A was an artillery battery that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. The unit fought at Yorktown, the Seven Days, Antietam, and Fredericksburg in 1862. The battery fought at Norfleet House and Suffolk in 1863 and at Bermuda Hundred, Cold Harbor, the Petersburg assault, Chaffin's Farm, the Petersburg siege, and the Appomattox campaign in 1864âÂÂ1865.
