General elections are scheduled to be held in Ethiopia on 1 June 2026.
The election is the first six round election to spontaneously change its term length in federal Ethiopia. The previous elections have been held in five rounds since 1995.
The National Election Board published an updated list of electoral constituencies on January 30, 2026.
The members of the House of Peoples' Representatives (the lower chamber of parliament) are elected in single-member constituencies using the first-past-the-post system.
