- 10 June â The Desniansky District Court in Kyiv becomes the first court in Ukraine to recognize a same-sex couple as a family under Ukrainian law after it rules that the relationship between Zoryan Kis, first secretary of the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel, and his partner Tymur Levchuk, constituted a de facto marriage following their wedding in the United States and a case brought against the Ministry of Foreign Affairs over its refusal to recognize the couple's spousal rights.
