2025 Odintsovo school attack

The 2025 Odintsovo school attack was a deadly mass stabbing that occurred on 16 December 2025 at Uspenskaya Secondary School in settlement, a subdivision of Odintsovo city, Moscow Oblast, Russia. A 15-year-old student allegedly attacked fellow students and school staff with a knife and pepper spray, killing a 10-year-old pupil of Tajik descent and injuring three others before being detained by law enforcement. A criminal case was opened by the Investigative Committee of Russia. The suspect also recorded the attack using a phone, mounted on the perpetrator's helmet.

Attack

On the morning of 16 December 2025, a 15-year-old pupil allegedly entered Uspenskaya Secondary School in Gorki-2, armed with at least one knife and reportedly a pepper spray device. According to statements from local authorities, the attacker sprayed a security guard before stabbing a 10-year-old fourth-grade pupil, a Tajikistan citizen, who later died from his injuries. Several other individuals, including the guard, were wounded and transported to a nearby hospital. The alleged attacker reportedly filmed his attack.

The suspect was subdued and detained at the scene by responding policemen. The Investigative Committee of Russia announced that a criminal investigation had been opened on charges, including murder.

Following the attack, the school was evacuated and emergency services were deployed to the area. Classes were suspended as investigators conducted on-site examinations and interviews with witnesses.

The words "No Lives Matter" were found written on the suspect's t-shirt.. On an airsoft pistol owned by the alleged suspect, the words "2025 Jakarta Bombing" were written, referring a school bombing in Jakarta that happened on 7 November 2025. Before the attack he published an online manifesto, named "My Wrath", in which he expressed his hatred of Muslims, Jews, liberals and antifascists.

Victim

Ten-year-old Kobiljon Aliyev, a citizen of Tajikistan who had moved to Russia with his mother and younger brother. The victim's mother worked as a cleaner at the same school. On December 18, his body was returned to Tajikistan and buried in the Aliyevs' home village.
