The 2014 Offaly Senior Hurling Championship was the 117th staging of the Offaly Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Offaly County Board in 1896. The championship began on 2 May 2014 and ended on 19 October 2014.
KilcormacâÂÂKilloughey were the defending champions, and successfully retained the title following a 2âÂÂ18 to 1âÂÂ9 defeat of St Rynagh's. Drumcullen were relegated from the championship after four years in the top flight.
All but one of the twelve teams from the 2013 championship participated in the top tier of Offaly hurling in 2014.
Ballinamere, who defeated KilcormacâÂÂKilloughey by 2âÂÂ19 to 1âÂÂ14 in the final of the intermediate championship in 2013, availed of their right to automatic promotion to the senior championship.
Similarly, Drumcullen defeated Lusmagh by 0âÂÂ16 to 0âÂÂ13 in the 2013 senior relegation play-off, and so Lusmagh were relegated to the intermediate grade for 2014.
