The 2008 Skate America was the first event of six in the 2008âÂÂ09 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Comcast Arena at Everett in Everett, Washington on October 23âÂÂ26. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters earned points toward qualifying for the 2008âÂÂ09 Grand Prix Final. The compulsory dance was the Viennese Waltz.
The event drew 39,000 total spectators.
