- 7 September â Death of Eugene Ejike Obiora: Eugene Ejike Obiora, a naturalized Norwegian citizen originally from Nigeria who was arrested at a social services office while complaining against being denied social aid, dies at the hands of arresting police officers in Trondheim. The case made headlines locally and nationally, with accusations of unnecessary use of force and racism leveled at the local police, as well as uproar in African societies in Norway.
