The 2005 New Mexico Lobos football team represented the University of New Mexico as a member of the Mountain West Conference (MW) during the 2005 NCAA Division I-A football season. Led by eighth-year head coach Rocky Long, the Lobos compiled an overall record of 6âÂÂ5 with a mark of 4âÂÂ4 in conference play, placing in a three-way tie for fourth in the MW. The team played home games at University Stadium in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
