The 1999 Penn State Nittany Lions football team represented the Pennsylvania State University as a member of the Big Ten Conference during the 1999 NCAA Division I-A football season. Led by 34th-year head coach Joe Paterno, the Nittany Lions compiled an overall record of 10âÂÂ3 with a mark of 5âÂÂ3 in conference play, tying for fourth place in the Big Ten. Penn State was invited to the Alamo Bowl, where the Nittany Lions defeated Texas A&M. The team played home games at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania.
Penn State set a new-single season attendance record of 675,503.
Four Nittany Lions were drafted in the 2000 NFL draft, including the first two overall picks.
