The 1998 Ole Miss Rebels football team was an American football team that represented the University of Mississippi as a member of the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference during the 1998 NCAA Division I-A football season. In their fourth and final year under head coach Tommy Tuberville, the team compiled a 7âÂÂ5 record, with a conference record of 3âÂÂ5, and finished fourth in the Western Division.
Tuberville departed for SEC West rival Auburn following the season. David Cutcliffe, who coached the bowl game, led the Rebels from the 1999 season.
