The 1989 Fresno State Bulldogs softball team represented California State University, Fresno in the 1989 NCAA Division I softball season. The Bulldogs were coached by Margie Wright, who led her fourth season. The Bulldogs finished with a record of 58âÂÂ14. They competed in the Pacific Coast Athletic Association, where they finished first with a 29âÂÂ7 record.
The Bulldogs were invited to the 1989 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament, where they swept the NCAA Regional and then completed a run to the title game of the Women's College World Series where they fell to champion UCLA for the second year in a row.
